Onam is one of the most celebrated holidays in Kerala. Growing up, my family used to celebrate Onam by doing skits about the story of Vamana and King Mahabali, eat the traditional Onam sadhya off a banana leaf and wear new clean cloths. Saanvi still has a few years before she can preform in a skit, but we did eat a traditional Onam meal thanks to my mom! Onam isn't the same without my dad, but I still want to continue to celebrate it for Saanvi. Here are some family pics from Onam.
